Conduit Power is led by power and energy industry executives Matt Herpich, Travis Windholz, and Matt Whitaker, who have more than 50 years of combined experience across the power trading, power generation, renewables, battery storage, chemicals, and upstream exploration and production industries.
The Conduit management team possesses a comprehensive technical, commercial, and analytical skillset that is critical in navigating a complex and dynamic power industry.
Travis Windholz, CFA
Managing Director
Travis has 20+ years of executive experience in the energy sector. Travis previously served as CEO of Jumar Energy, a Bluescape Energy Partners portfolio company, which financed upstream E&P development through the monetization of real option value in the commodity markets. Bluescape was 100% owner of Jumar and invested in the company in 2016. Prior to that, Travis served as Managing Director and CFO at Atinum Energy Investments, a $1 billion+ E&P investment firm. Prior to Atinum, Travis served as Director at Akeida Capital Management, a sustainable investment management firm. Travis began his career at El Paso Merchant Energy where he was responsible for structuring agreements around physical assets and associated commodity optionality. Travis earned a BA in Finance from Texas A&M University and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Matthew Herpich
Managing Director
Matt H. has 15+ years of leadership experience, with over ten of those in the power sector. Matt previously served as Head of Finance & Operations for Arcadia Power’s Texas Energy Services business unit. Prior to Arcadia, Matt was Co-Founder of Real Simple Energy, a Texas-based retail power brokerage, and where he led the acquisition of Real Simple Energy by Arcadia in February 2021. Previously, Matt served as Head of FP&A for CIG Logistics, an ECP portfolio company, and on the Investment Team of Bluescape Energy Partners, a $1 billion+ energy private equity platform headed by C. John Wilder, former CEO of TXU. Matt earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Yale and an MS in Information Technology (big data focus) from Carnegie Mellon.
Matt Whitaker
Managing Director
Matt W. has 30+ years of experience in the energy sector, formulating and executing business strategies for power, chemical, and energy transition. Matt most recently led North America Asset Management for Catalyze LLC, an EnCap Energy Transition Fund I investment of solar + storage assets for commercial and industrial clients. Prior to that, Matt was Head of Technology for Prisma Energy Capital/EnCap Energy Transition Fund I leading battery energy storage deployments and responsible for technology, engineering, global procurement, construction, and operations. Matt also served as SVP of Global Operations for Synthesis Energy Systems Inc (NASDAQ:SYNE) commercializing an energy coal gasification technology in the US and China, and was President of an international EPC firm that designed and constructed energy infrastructure in emerging markets. Matt holds an MS in Environmental Management and a BS in Applied Science, both from Rochester Institute of Technology.
